Shipboard Activities

Chesapeake Chapter NSDAR members happily serve their country and community in a myriad of ways:

Collect toiletries and food for the United Services Organization (USO).

Support Crossnore School and other DAR educational projects by collecting "Box Tops for Education."

Promote colonial history by participating in the Battle of Great Bridge re-enactment and wearing colonial attire in several parades.

Judge student essay contests that promote our American Revolution heritage.

Sponsor citizenship and achievement awards for local students.

Donate funds and perform volunteer research for the preservation and restoration of Norfolk County records and other historical records.

Welcome foreign-born immigrants as new American citizens in a naturalization ceremony.

Celebrate America’s armed forces at our annual Veterans Day Luncheon.
